All about Holly at The Bloodstock PA, racing and bloodstock

Welcome to The Bloodstock PA.

I am Holly Roeder.  I have been a Racing Secretary and personal assistant for the past 15 years.

Proficient and full of enthusiasm in all areas of bloodstock and racing administration.  I am thoroughly organised and efficient in getting and keeping all horse related admin in order whether you are a racehorse owner and, or a bloodstock owner, a bloodstock agent, sales consignor, racehorse trainer or a thoroughbred related business.

Having come in to the industry in my mid-twenties, it soon became apparent this incredibly varied role suited me down to the ground. 

Requiring good communication skills and a high level of attention to detail I seemed to excel in multi-tasking and pulling any area of a thoroughbred business in to an organised shape.

I trained to be a florist in my late teens and spent five years working for the well regarded designer florist, Jane Packer in Marylebone, London.  Having enjoyed this immensely it was time to move away from London and decide on a long term career path.  

Through my beloved late father and footballer, Glenn, my passion of the thoroughbred took off, and I began to fall in love with this fascinating and often viewed as, 'secret world' of horseracing.  

Moving to Newmarket I took up what was initially a small role with trainer Robert Cowell, setting up his office from scratch, however, building it up to a full, successful and professional racing and breeding operation.  

After 14 years, I moved to a similar position with trainer Sean Woods.

Alongside those roles, I assisted looking after Mr Malih Al Basti and Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai.  This gave me a large task of untangling a complicated list of bloodstock, managing all admin and registrations, including VAT returns and invoicing, plus assisting in sponsorships and events within the industry.   

With all this in mind, I felt it sensible to offer my experience and expertise in racing & bloodstock administration work to a wider remote audience.
