A warm welcome to The Bloodstock PA
About Holly O'Hagan
With over 16 years' experience as a Racing Secretary and personal assistant, Holly brings a deep understanding of, and enthusiasm for, all aspects of racing and bloodstock administration. Organised, efficient, discreet and passionate, she specialises in taking care to manage thoroughbred-related admin to the highest professional standard.
Having entered the racing industry in her mid-twenties, it quickly became apparent that this demanding and multifaceted role was a perfect fit. With strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, she excels at multi-tasking and keeping any racing and breeding operations in a well-organised and effective shape.
Hollys' career began in the creative world of floristry, training professionally in her late teens and working for five years with esteemed designer florist Jane Packer in Marylebone, London. Whilst she loved that chapter, she eventually left London in search of a long-term career and found it in the world of horseracing, a passion sparked by her beloved late father, Glenn Roeder, a professional footballer and keen racing enthusiast and owner.
Relocating to Newmarket, Holly began working with trainer Robert Cowell, where she built his office and administrative systems from the ground up. Over 14 years, she helped develop a fully functional and successful racing and breeding operation. She then moved to a similar role with trainer Sean Woods following his return to Newmarket from Hong Kong.
Alongside these positions, Holly have also worked closely for ten years with Mr Malih Al Basti and Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai. This involved untangling and managing the administration for a large complex bloodstock portfolio which included horses in training, mares, foals, yearlings and stallions all round the Europe, in addition to supporting Al Basti Equiworld sponsorships and industry events.
Now offering her skills, experience, and discretion as a self-employed racing and bloodstock administration specialist. Whether you are an owner, trainer, manager, agent, consignor, or running a business within the thoroughbred industry, she provides virtual personal assistant services tailored to your specific admin needs, allowing you to focus on what matters most.
Additionally, drawing on her background in floristry and events, she also coordinates bespoke race day events. Either from conception to completion or concentrating on the tablescaping. Creating an event to remember with a creative and professional touch.
